I plan the structure of a database that organizes the site's content to be stored, and carry out the plan via SQL through sqlite3 or PostGres in production, querying and manipulating it using ORMS rather than using raw SQL for your security.
I connect to and retrieve content from a database using a choice of either node.js and express, or python via flask; to run the site on the server and prepare it for fetching by the browser.
I markup a site using HTML, style it using CSS, and use React and Redux, libraries to create dynamic single page applications. I also use frameworks like Bootstrap, or MaterialUI, to organize content in beautiful layouts; or simply models like CSS Grid or flexbox.
